The High Court heard that two caravans parked on lands near the Curragh Racecourse in Kildare are attracting others to do the same. The Minister for Defence, who owns the land, is seeking injunctions against trespassers. The minister's barrister said "waves of trespassers" have arrived since earlier this year, and the presence of Nicole O'Brien's caravans is encouraging others. O'Brien's lawyer disputed this, noting her caravans are on one side of the Curragh while recent arrivals are on the other. The court set a hearing date for next month and joined 28 other individuals to the proceedings. The minister also cited serious dumping on the lands, with cleanup costs of €185,000 in 2024.
