The town of Tecumseh has drafted new zoning bylaws that would impose limits on parking recreational vehicles and trailers on residential driveways. The draft specifies that an RV or trailer cannot be longer than seven meters or taller than three meters. Over 130 residents voiced opposition at a public open house, arguing the change would create inconvenience and storage costs. A final draft is expected for council consideration in early spring.

Port Alberni council extended the move-out deadline for residents of an RV lot on Redford Street by six months. The city is examining potential bylaws for long-term RV park zoning, as current regulations don't permit extended tenancy in recreational vehicles.
