Shenzhen deputy proposes plan for RV infrastructure development

20 RVs and 40 members of the '66' team arrived in Lushi county (Henan province) on June 10. They visited a health food company, learned about local customs, and purchased products. Founded in 2015, the team now has over 40,000 RVs and promotes defense and red culture through travel.

The Chinese film 'North of the Tropic of Cancer' (北回归线以北) will be released nationwide on June 19. It is the first feature film in Chinese cinema history centered on motorhome travel. The movie interweaves three storylines about family relationships, self-discovery, and overcoming life challenges. Filming took place in Tibet, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Sichuan, and Guangxi.

In Gongliu County (Xinjiang), the fire department inspected motorhomes at the Shiliuzi campsite. Inspectors found violations: faulty fire extinguishers, improper electrical connections, and accumulation of flammable materials. Camper owners were briefed on fire safety rules and gas equipment operation.

A 40,000 sq m RV camp in Longde County, Ningxia, can accommodate over 300 vehicles simultaneously. Established in 2019, it draws retired travelers in motorhomes. Parking costs 40 yuan per day (peak season) or 720 yuan per month, including water and electricity. In 2023, the camp was designated a national pilot forest wellness base.

Great Wall has unveiled a motorhome built on the Shanhai Poer pickup chassis, currently undergoing winter testing in China. The model features a 2.4L diesel engine, all-wheel drive, and automatic transmission. Interior equipment includes a sink, stove, table, seats, a semi-double bed, shower, and washing machine. The new model may increase competition in Russia's motorhome segment, where demand for autonomous travel is growing.

China's largest RV parking lot, with 700 spaces, has opened in Guizhou province at the Baili Dujuan scenic area (Parking Lot No. 4). It offers two rates: 20 yuan per day (free water, paid electricity) and 38 yuan (all inclusive). Average summer temperature is 19°C. Facilities include showers, toilets, grocery stores, and a parcel pickup point.
