EU Directive (EU) 2025/2205, adopted in October 2025, allows member states to permit driving motorhomes up to 4.25 tonnes with a category B license, subject to training or a test. Currently in France, vehicles over 3.5 tonnes require a C1 license. Transposition into national law must occur by 2029.
