Munakata City (Fukuoka Prefecture) and the Japan RV Association (Yokohama) have signed an agreement to dispatch camper vans in the event of natural disasters. Upon the city's request, the association will provide vehicles to supplement shelters and rest areas for personnel.
The agreement follows cooperation between the parties at an event at "Road Station Munakata" since 2021. Mayor Misako Izu and association president Kenji Araki signed the document in late July. This year's event in October will focus on the use of camper vans in emergencies.
