Governor Ron DeSantis signed SB 118, prohibiting local governments in Florida from assessing RV parks as residential units. Parks must now be evaluated as commercial establishments, similar to hotels and motels. The law caps assessment bases at 400 square feet per RV space and requires occupancy rates to be considered. It takes effect on April 21, 2026.
