Greece clarifies parking rules for motorhomes and caravans

The Association of Motorhome and Caravan Professionals of Greece (SEARTEE) welcomed a new clarifying order from the Greek Police Headquarters, which specifies parking rules for motorhomes and caravans under the new Highway Code. In built-up areas, motorhomes up to 7.5 m in length can park without time limits, while longer motorhomes and caravans are limited to 24 hours. Outside built-up areas, parking is allowed on road shoulders or the right edge of the carriageway, without a 24-hour time limit, provided no prohibitory signs are present. Simple parking without deploying equipment (awnings, tables, chairs) is not considered camping and is fully legal.
