Donegal County Council (Ireland) acknowledged an incident over the Bank Holiday weekend where a campervan blocked a footpath at the pier car park in Donegal Town. The council is reviewing draft bye-laws that include additional measures to manage oversized vehicle parking in Pay and Display car parks across the county. It remains unclear whether the incident occurred during Pay and Display enforcement hours (9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays), when traffic wardens can issue fixed charge notices for footpath obstruction.
