Xiaomi has unveiled the camping version of its new Pengcheng N90 SUV. The vehicle features a pop-up roof, a roof sleeping area, side cabinets, and awning mounts. A projector and folding table are included as standard. The pop-up roof is intended for use only when parked, off public roads.
The model is available in standard and camper versions. Dimensions of the standard version: 5285/1998/1825 mm, wheelbase 3080 mm; the camper version has a height of 1925 mm. The cabin seats 5 or 7, front seats rotate 180°, and the second row features zero-gravity seats. A fully flat floor and extra-long rails allow the interior to be transformed into various configurations.
The powertrain is a 1.5-liter gasoline generator (112 kW) paired with two electric motors (210 and 100 kW). Electric-only range per WLTC is 363–370 km. Expected prices start at 250,000 yuan for the 5-seat version and 300,000 yuan for the 7-seat version. Xiaomi is not the first to offer camping modifications: similar solutions already exist from Qichen VX6 and BYD Xia. However, the Pengcheng N90 Camping Edition stands out because all camping options are included in the factory configuration, saving owners from aftermarket modifications.
