Volkswagen ID Buzz 2027 Returns with Tourer Camper Trim

Volkswagen introduced the Tourer trim for the 2027 ID Buzz electric van, inspired by the European Good Night Package. It includes a fold-out mattress, window blinds, ventilation panels, outdoor chairs and table, plus an Overnight Mode. The lineup gains more all-wheel-drive options, updated ID.S 6 software, a Tesla Supercharger adapter, and one-pedal driving. Sales are expected from August through end of 2027.

Volkswagen has announced a new ID Buzz Tourer trim for the 2027 model year, aimed at road trips and camping. Volkswagen announced a factory camper van based on the ID. Buzz for the US market, set to arrive in 2027. Buzz sales in North America totaled only 7,300 units in 2025 before the model was paused. The camper version may boost interest in the electric van, though pricing and availability dates have not been disclosed.
