Volkswagen has officially confirmed the return of the ID Buzz electric microbus to the US market for the 2027 model year after a one-year hiatus. Alongside this, the new Tourer trim aimed at camping has been announced.

- All-wheel drive expanded: Pro S 4Motion and Tourer 4Motion versions added
- New ID.S 6 infotainment system based on Android with access to YouTube, Spotify, and third-party apps
- NACS-CCS adapter for charging at Tesla Supercharger stations
- One-pedal driving mode
- All color schemes are now two-tone
US sales are expected to begin between August and late 2027. Pricing has not been announced; for reference, the 2025 model cost between $61,545 and $72,540. In 2025, only 7,300 ID Buzz units were sold in North America, after which the model was paused. According to some sources, Volkswagen did not hold a major launch event for the model's return, focusing instead on the Atlas.
