In Brief

MDN Madonna unveils the FC Sleepe Jr. on a narrow HiAce with bunk beds, while the Astral CH1 mars debuts at Tokyo show with a fiberglass body, wider cabin, and shorter wheelbase

Two new camper models based on the Toyota HiAce have been introduced in Japan, targeting different needs.

FC Sleepe Jr. by MDN Madonna

Built on the narrow, high-roof HiAce (Narrow Body, High Roof). It features upper and lower bunk beds, each supporting up to 150 kg per side with a tier height of 550 mm. Total capacity: 4 sleeping berths and up to 8 passengers. The power system includes a portable power station and a 300 Ah lithium-ion battery charged by the engine, enabling a Daikin air conditioner. Price is negotiable.

Astral CH1 mars

Debuted at the Tokyo show. The body is made of fiberglass, increasing interior width and height while keeping a length of 4.98 meters — 40 cm shorter than the standard long-wheelbase HiAce. Inside: two sleeping berths, a kitchen, and a large cargo compartment.
