The Palo Alto City Council voted on Aug. 24 to ban RV dwellers from all residential streets and to permit 37 RVs on two roads at the edges of the city. The city counted 133 RVs on the streets in May. Mayor Vicki Veenker, running for a second term, said she has a couple leads on more off-street parking where more RV dwellers could temporarily live, but she wasn’t ready to provide more details. She also wants larger employers like Stanford and Google to provide parking for their employees living in RVs.

One Injured After RV Rollover Near Deadwood

One person was injured when a Mercedes-Benz RV rolled over near Deadwood, South Dakota, over the weekend. The vehicle left U.S. Highway 385 at mile marker 121 and came to rest on a trail about 300 yards off the road. Bystanders helped the occupants exit before emergency crews arrived. A camper was destroyed by fire on Smith Hill Drive, off Sawmill Road, in Morgantown, Kentucky, on Sunday afternoon, September 20, 2026. The call came in around 2:30 p.m., and the camper was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived. Morgantown City Fire Department Engine 1 and Car 1, Fifth District Fire Department Engine 52, Butler County EMS Medic 805, and Morgantown Police Department responded. The Morgantown Fire Department responded to a camper fire Sunday afternoon in Morgantown, Kentucky.
