RV Industry Testifies Before International Trade Commission on Hardwood, Plywood Investigation

A 1927 Studebaker EQ Special Six has been converted into a motorhome after a seven-year restoration completed in 2015. The vehicle now features a 460 cubic inch V8 engine from a 1984 Ford F-350, a C3 automatic transmission, power steering from a 1984 Thunderbird, and front disc brakes. The exterior is yellow with blue stripes. It measures 22 feet long, 8 feet high, and weighs about 6,100 pounds. Inside, the cab has two gray vinyl captain's chairs, power windows, cruise control, and a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo. The camper is for sale with restoration photos and an Indiana title.

Jason and Nicole Earls have restored the historic Bear Creek Cabins and RV park on U.S. Highway 101 in Washington state. The couple removed a 30-yard dumpster of debris, replaced furniture and bedding, and repaired infrastructure. Cabins now offer modern amenities, and the RV park provides partial and full hook-up sites. The former restaurant will remain closed for 4–5 years until funding for a major renovation is secured.

At their July 15 meeting, the Marthasville Board of Aldermen voted not to revisit a proposal for an RV park at Wessel Park. Mayor David Lange said Missouri DNR officials still support the project, but bids received in June ranged from $1.29 million to $1.82 million, far exceeding the original budget. Alderman Leo Meyer, who moved to halt preliminary work last month, maintained his opposition. Mayor Lange argued that abandoning the project forfeits the grant, but aldermen Meyer and Chris DeVore were not persuaded.

US manufacturer Dragon Tiny Homes has introduced the Fairfax 20, a fully equipped tiny house on a two-axle trailer with 15.7 square meters of living space. The base price of $33,700 (about 29,480 euros) includes a loft bed, desk, kitchen with induction cooktop and refrigerator, bathroom with shower, and a washer-dryer combo. The house measures approximately 6 meters in length and 2.5 meters in width.

The vehicle is listed for sale in Texas with a Carfax report noting minor damage to the rear and left side in October 2024.
