Region invests half a million in motorhome tourism

New motorhome registrations in Sweden reached 2,439 units from January to May 2026, a 56% increase compared to 1,561 in the same period of 2025. This follows a 39% rise in 2025, when over 3,700 vehicles were sold. The growth is partly attributed to the abolition of the higher vehicle tax for motorhomes in February 2025. Västra Götaland remains the largest county for registrations (about 20%), while Jönköping saw the strongest growth (+104%).
