In Brief

Nissan is preparing a new generation NV200 with a plug-in hybrid system and optional all-wheel drive. The debut is expected in the third quarter of 2026.

Nissan is reviving the NV200 model: the new generation of the compact MPV will be unveiled in the third quarter of 2026. The project is being carried out by the Zhengzhou Nissan joint venture (Nissan and Dongfeng).

The new model will feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain. All-wheel drive will likely be achieved via an electric motor on the rear axle, making the vehicle suitable for light off-roading and vanlife. A prototype spotted on spy photos in China features new lighting and a grille inspired by the Frontier Pro pickup.

The previous generation NV200 was sold in China from 2010 to 2018.
