Sales and registrations
In 2025, total motorhome sales in China exceeded 20,000 units for the first time. In the first half of 2026, over 12,000 motorhomes were registered, up 32.6% compared to the same period last year. The share of new energy motorhomes reached 18.4%.
Camping vehicles and infrastructure
According to China Automotive News on September 28, 5,315 camping vehicles were registered in the same period — up 64.2%, accounting for 43.7% of motorhome registrations. By the end of 2025, there were more than 3,100 campsites in the country.
Buyers and prices
The main buyers are families where both spouses were born after 1990 and 1995. Prices for popular models have dropped from around 600,000 yuan to about 400,000 yuan.
