Maturi Sideway Plus: compact off-road camper for autonomous travel

Toyota has launched the full-size camper van ProAce Max Tanuki on the Polish market, based on the ProAce Max van. It is a twin of Stellantis models (Fiat Ducato, Citroen Jumper, etc.) and is produced in Gliwice, with the living module by Affinity RV. Two lengths are available: 599 and 636 cm, both powered by a 2.2L diesel engine with 140 or 180 hp. Prices start from PLN 459,900.

A bill has been submitted to the Polish Sejm to amend the Public Roads Act, proposing to exempt motorhomes (over 3.5 t GVW) and passenger cars towing caravans from the e-TOLL system when used for individual tourism. Currently, such vehicles are treated as trucks and charged between PLN 0.34 and 0.80 per kilometer. The bill still needs to pass through the full legislative process, leaving little time before the 2026 summer holidays.

A resident of Katowice leased a food trailer worth 73,000 PLN, stopped making installment payments, and concealed the vehicle. Police in Bytom arrested the 37-year-old on April 15 in Chorzów and recovered the trailer for the owner. She faces up to 5 years in prison.
