LG Electronics and Kia have unveiled the Spielraum GlowCabin concept, a mobile living space built on the Kia PV5 electric van. The prototype is equipped with LG home appliances including a refrigerator, microwave, oven and wine cabinet, all voice-controlled via the ThinQ On AI hub. The vehicle features a modular interior transformation system allowing configurations for sleeping, working and relaxing.
The exhibition runs from May 27 until the end of August 2026 at the Haevichi Hotel & Resort on Jeju Island. The vehicle is not yet in production, but the companies are in talks about commercialization. A commercial version is expected within one to two years. South Korea's camping market is estimated at 6–10 trillion won, with around 7 million camping enthusiasts. The project aims to promote the 'chabak' (car camping) lifestyle in Korea.
