Cosymobil, a manufacturer of mini-caravans based in Maine-de-Boixe, has been placed in judicial liquidation by the commercial court of Angoulême. The company had no employees. Founded in 2023 by Jérôme Simiot, it aimed to produce hundreds of vintage mini-caravans per year. The founder left the company a year ago, leaving shareholder Abdelhamid Dekkiche as sole manager. According to Dekkiche, attempts to turn the business around after Simiot's departure failed. The theft of two Cosymobil caravans in 2024, valued at 100,000 euros, resulted in a net loss as the perpetrators were never found and insurers did not cover the incident.
