The father suffered 40% burns, and their children aged 7 and 9 had various burns; all have been discharged. The explosion is believed to have been caused by a gas leak when a lighter was ignited. Doctors warn that gas connections in caravans must be made by qualified professionals with a pressure regulator, and in case of burns, the affected area should be cooled under running water for 20–30 minutes.
