Ember RV to unveil two new models at Toronto RV Show

Andrea and Thomas Kliem from Kalkar, makers of Dailycamper campervans, are on a seven-week trip through Canada in their compact camper. They shipped the vehicle from Hamburg to Halifax, drove through Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick, and then along the St. Lawrence River. In Ontario, they stayed in Cobourg, where their camper was just meters from the beach, allowing them to swim in Lake Ontario. They also visited Quebec City, Montreal, and Toronto, using the VIA train to reach downtown Toronto.

Technical Safety BC determined that rodents caused the March explosion of a fifth-wheel RV at Aloha RV Park in Abbotsford. The rodents chewed through electrical wires and a gas hose, leading to a slow propane leak that ignited, causing extensive damage and injuring the owner and her dog. The gas alarm was not found among the debris and is believed to have been non-functional or missing.

Canadian company Leisure Travel Vans has unveiled the Wonder Murphy Bed Lounge motorhome based on the Ford Transit. The 7.54-meter model features a panoramic window, a Murphy bed measuring 165×188 cm, a slide-out module, a shower with curved glass partition, and a 314 hp V6 EcoBoost petrol engine. Prices start at 200,000 euros.

In British Columbia, Canada, an unusual house on wheels has been built on an old International 4800 truck with four-wheel drive. Owner Kai bought it in 2013 and over five years converted it into a home of 18.5 square meters, initially calling it "Ugly Truckling".

The Agricultural Land Commission fined a Lake Country couple $60,000 for operating an RV park on farmland without permission. The owners, Tate and Salena Lamb, were first warned in 2019 but continued renting spots until 2026. The commission estimated they earned at least $72,000 from rentals after the 2023 shutdown order, and they also owe nearly $24,000 in bylaw fines. They had until early July to pay or appeal.

A man in Ontario claims that his RV was towed by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) without any legal justification. The incident occurred in Ontario, Canada. The owner states that he did not violate parking regulations and received no prior notice. The MTO has not yet issued an official response regarding the incident.
