Australians took 17.3 million caravan and camping trips in 2025, generating 57.9 million visitor nights and spending $12.6 billion. The number of registered recreational vehicles reached 937,000, up 4% year-on-year, while caravan parks earned a record $3.3 billion in revenue. Travellers are taking shorter trips and staying closer to home, but demand remains strong. The Dealer Open Day on September 5 is part of a three-year, $3 million campaign to help consumers make informed decisions about caravan and RV ownership.
