Carstay expands RV fleet to 450 and overnight station network to 314

Toy Factory has announced the new Da Vinci 5.4 camper, built on the Fiat Ducato platform. The vehicle will debut at the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026 on July 11–12 at Tokyo Big Sight, with sales starting at the event. Priced at 1,584,000 yen, the 5.4-meter model features a redesigned interior shared with the Da Vinci 6.0.

Stellantis Japan released the limited-edition Jeep Wrangler Whitecap on July 3, 2026, limited to 100 units, plus 5 units of the Whitecap with TripTop roof tent (sold by lottery). Based on the Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, it features a 2.0L turbo engine (272 hp, 400 Nm), 8-speed automatic, and on-demand 4WD. Exterior combines Hydro Blue paint with white grille, roof, and quarter pillars. Price: ¥8.94 million for the standard version, ¥9.74 million with the tent.

Nissan Peasefield Craft and Kato Motor have unveiled the Eleganza camper based on the Nissan NV350 Caravan Super Long High Roof. The debut will take place on July 11–12 at the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight, with sales in Japan starting the same day. The interior features separate zones: a seating area, a fixed sleeping space, and a cargo compartment. The body is 5,080 mm long and 2,285 mm high, allowing a person to stand upright inside. Handcrafted solid wood furniture and insulation tested in snowy Niigata are included. Buyers receive support through a dedicated Nissan service channel.

BLANC, a startup operating hotel resorts built from wheeled travel trailers, has opened its third property, BLANC YATSUGATAKE, in Hokuto, Yamanashi Prefecture. All accommodation units, restaurant and reception are housed in registered trailers, enabling development on land with building restrictions. The hotel promotes sustainable tourism with minimal land alteration.

A new roadside station 'Noda Paapuru' in Noda, Iwate Prefecture, features an RV campsite and is part of the Japan Camping Car Rally 2025.

FamilyMart opened a flagship store in Tokyo with fitting rooms and a 300-item clothing line. Lawson is rolling out overnight parking rentals for car camping at 2500 yen per night, aiming for 3000 locations. Seven-Eleven has added powder rooms for makeup and hair styling. The innovations come as store visits fell 0.5% last year.
