Australia's corporate regulator ASIC has launched a criminal investigation into Zone RV, the collapsed caravan manufacturer. The company went bankrupt in December 2025 with debts of 42 million dollars. More than 100 customers, many of them retirees, lost millions of dollars in prepayments for unbuilt caravans.
The investigation covers the period from July 2021 to December 2025 and concerns possible breaches of corporations law, including director misconduct, such as unlawful dividend payments to shareholders. The liquidator has identified potential claims of 27.5 million dollars against the former director.
