Luxury caravan bus service launched in Bihar

On Tuesday, a moving trailer caught fire in the Mandana area of Kota. The fire started from a machine covered with polythene. Toll plaza staff noticed the flames and extinguished the fire using buckets and water from a camper. The incident occurred on NH 52 around 4:30 PM; no casualties were reported.

A family from Jaipur (Rajasthan) set off on a journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in an SUV with only 1 rupee. They earn money for fuel and food by setting up a mobile stall called 'Cafe Caravan' in each major city, selling tea, Maggi noodles, and shakes. After covering 2,622 km, the couple earned 32,946 rupees, spent 21,917 rupees, and saved 11,029 rupees.

The Forest Department of Odisha, India, has announced plans to develop caravan parks across seven wildlife sanctuaries and national parks. The initiative aims to promote low-impact eco-tourism. Each park will accommodate only 4–5 caravans, with no permanent structures allowed. Parking fee is set at INR 1,000 per day, with separate charges for utilities and amenities.

Odisha authorities are introducing regulated caravan campsites in seven protected areas, including Similipal and Satkosia tiger reserves. Strict rules apply: no loud music or fireworks, parking fee is 1000 INR per night.

Each park will accommodate 4–5 caravans with minimal eco-friendly infrastructure, no permanent construction, and strict waste management rules. Booking is via the Ecotour Odisha portal, with a parking fee of Rs 1,000 per night.

Following the death of a 33-year-old tourist in the Dubare elephant camp, Karnataka's Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre ordered the replacement of open safari campers with fully enclosed buses and mandated safety measures in wildlife zones.
