Nissan Serena Multi Bed: Camper Version of Minivan

NTB opened a permanent camper exhibition at the Lots INOUTDOOR complex in Tokyo on June 26, 2026. The display includes models co-created with a well-known YouTuber. The new venue aims to attract outdoor enthusiasts.

The German motorhome Carthago chic e-line I 61 XL LE was showcased at the Japan Camping Car Show 2025. The vehicle measures 8.8 m in length, 3.1 m in height, and weighs over 4 tons. It is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, featuring a 2.0-liter diesel turbo engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission. The price in Japan is 46.1 million yen (approximately $310,000).

On June 8, 2026, Daytona announced four products for touring and car camping: the Maebiro Dome E tent, Tarp 4 square tarp, and Car Side Shelter. Prices range from 9,900 to 28,820 yen.

DJI is offering the Power 1000 portable power station with a 1024 Wh battery and 2000 W continuous output (4400 W peak) at a 61% discount on Amazon. Japanese company Mystic has unveiled the updated Anseie camper, built on the Toyota Camroad light truck. The model features retro-American design inside and out, with standard equipment including a 428 Ah battery, 2.5 kW inverter, 470 W solar panels, air conditioning, and a heater. It offers two double beds and a convertible dining area, sleeping up to five people. Price is about 15 million yen (6.8 million rubles).

The owner bought a used Honda Vamos Hobio for 60,000 yen (approx. $400) for camping and car sleeping. Together with his daughter, he fully repainted the body for 20,000 yen (approx. $130) in a matte two-tone scheme (white top, grey bottom). Inside, they installed a homemade bed, table, and storage; outside, additional lights and LED markers were added. The project shows a low-cost approach to building a camper van from a kei truck.
