The Battle Ground City Council unanimously approved revisiting its recently adopted RV parking ordinance after Fire Marshal Chris Drone raised fire safety concerns. Drone stated that eliminating setback requirements increases the risk of fire spreading to neighboring properties and limits firefighter access. There were 23 RV fires in Fire District 3 over the past five years. The council will reconsider the ordinance at a future meeting.
