On Saturday, on the A9 motorway in Thuringia, a motorhome driver, failing to notice a traffic jam, crashed into nine stationary vehicles. Thirty-four people, including children, were injured; their condition is not serious. Among the damaged vehicles were two minibuses carrying 11 children with special needs and eight caregivers. Damage is estimated at around 350,000 euros. The jam was caused by an accident on the opposite carriageway, where a horse trailer overturned.
