The Boulder County sheriff's office corrected earlier reports that a 57-year-old man found unconscious in his camper on March 14 had been attacked by a bear. Officials now believe the man suffered a pre-existing medical emergency before a bear, attracted by rotting food, broke into the camper. Colorado Parks and Wildlife confirmed the bear made no physical contact with the man and will be euthanized due to its entry into an occupied dwelling and recent break-ins in the area.
