In Saint-Pierre-de-Mons (Gironde), 160 caravans of travellers illegally occupied two fields of the local stadium for seven days, from 12 to 19 July 2026. The football club 'Union Sportive Pierre Monsoise' reported that due to the weight of the vehicles and prolonged stay, the fields became unusable for training and likely will not be playable this season. The town hall also noted power outages in neighbouring houses due to grid overload and requested waste containers and daily collection from the Sictom service.
