More than 10 caravans have set up camp on the football pitches of Redcar Athletic in Teesside, leading to the cancellation of matches this week. The club contacted the North Riding FA, and the council and police have begun eviction procedures. Local MP Anna Turley has called for the use of Section 61 powers to move the group on, citing reports of dangerous driving and damage to the pitches.
