On Monday around noon, a fire broke out in Mediniai Strėvininkai village, Morkūnai Street, destroying a camper van and damaging a summer kitchen.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department, upon arrival firefighters found a wooden summer kitchen with an extension burning with open flames, while a camper van parked three meters away was already engulfed. The fire was extinguished in about half an hour. All combustible parts of the "Zuggabel" camper were burned, the roof and three walls of the summer kitchen were charred, and the interior was smoke-damaged. An Opel car parked two meters from the source was saved.
