In Marguerittes, near Nîmes (Gard), a camp of about 100 caravans belonging to an itinerant evangelical community has been set up without authorization. Local authorities stated they are taking steps to minimize disruption for residents, including preserving access to nurseries and schools. The incident reignites the debate over the lack of designated stopping areas for travelers in the region, as required by the departmental plan.
