Authorities recommend using guarded campsites, hiding valuables, and storing documents separately.

On Friday afternoon, rescue services responded to a report of a motorhome emitting smoke. The call came in just before 3:00 PM from drivers on the E4 between Måttsund and Gäddvik. Upon arrival, rescuers found no fire; the vehicle was stopped and inspected.
