Fire destroys two trailer homes, fifth wheel camper

Aboard has unveiled the T4 travel trailer, featuring an architectural approach to design and an electrified platform with a range extender. The trailer is equipped with a 41 kWh battery and a generator, enabling long off-grid stays and even EV charging. Inside, large windows, a skylight, and an opening rear panel create a modern living space. The T4 measures 25 feet in length, 8 feet in width, and weighs up to 7,500 lbs, accommodating four people. Shipping is expected to begin in 2027.

One person was hospitalized after an RV fire in east Lubbock County, Texas. Fire crews responded around 6 a.m. to find one RV engulfed in flames, threatening a nearby vehicle. The injured person was taken to a hospital with burns. The fire was ruled accidental, caused by an unattended stove top with items left on it.

Bent's RV announced clearance sales of new 2026 model-year RVs at its Albany and Boutte locations in Louisiana. Inventory includes lightweight travel trailers, family-oriented bunkhouse models, and larger fifth wheels, such as the Keystone Springdale, Forest River Wildwood, and Keystone Montana High Country. The 54,000-mile coach has a documented low-speed incident from August 2024 that involved replacement of the rear right panel. Comparable 2022 and 2023 24GL models are listed by dealers from around $120,000 to the $170,000s, while new pricing now exceeds $250,000.

Winnebago has introduced a new off-road motorhome, the Arka, built on the chassis of the heavy-duty Ram 5500 pickup. It features a 6.7-liter turbodiesel producing 360 hp and 1,085 Nm, and can tow a 6.8-ton trailer. The living module accommodates four people, with a kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping areas. Claimed autonomy is 14 days, supported by a 16.8 kWh battery, solar panels, and a 227-liter water tank. Price starts at $331,901.

General RV has partnered with Winnebago to offer an exclusive first look at two new models, the Winnebago ARKA and Winnebago Elora, nearly a month before their East Coast debut at the 57th Annual America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pennsylvania, in September. The event will take place from Aug. 26 to 28 at General RV Center’s Elizabethtown Supercenter in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, during store hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday).
