Descend on Bend 2026

Descend on Bend is a vanlife and outdoor festival held in Bend, Oregon over the Labour Day long weekend. Bend is one of the Pacific Northwest's premier outdoor destinations — home to world-class mountain biking, climbing, kayaking, and skiing — and the gathering draws van dwellers and outdoor adventure seekers from across the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West.

The festival celebrates the intersection of van life and outdoor adventure culture, with Bend's diverse trail networks and the Cascade Mountains as a backdrop. RV fire on I-95 causes traffic delays

An RV caught fire on Interstate 95 in New London, Connecticut, on Saturday afternoon. The fire occurred near Exit 82A on the northbound side and had spread to grass and woods along the highway by the time first responders arrived.
