On the afternoon of 12 September 2026, a motorhome parked on private land near railway tracks in Agneaux, Manche, caught fire. A gas cylinder exploded before firefighters arrived; the fire then spread to a shed. Thirteen firefighters from Saint-Lô brought the blaze under control by 15:15. According to Saint-Lô deputy mayor Mathieu Lebrun, no homes were affected and no injuries were reported; a dog inside the vehicle died. Evacuated residents returned home and the street, temporarily closed, is accessible again. The cause of the fire is unknown.
