In Italy, the 'broken mirror' scam is common, where cash is demanded for allegedly damaged mirrors. It is recommended not to give money to strangers, but to offer to call the police or a tow truck.
In France, in Boulazac (Dordogne), on June 17, judicial auction of the assets of the company Horizon accessoires took place. More than 70 clients accuse the manager of a consignment shop of selling their motorhomes without paying the proceeds. Victims estimate damages in tens of thousands of euros, some continue to pay loans for vehicles sold without their knowledge. The manager denies criminal liability but has committed to compensate the damages.
