The village of Malestroit (Morbihan, Brittany) will host the ninth blessing of motorhomes on August 28–29, 2026, tied to the festival of Saint Giles, patron of motorhomes in Malestroit since 2017. The idea came from priest Yves Carteau, who wanted to involve travelers in local life.
As of August 22, 170 participants had registered, a third of them first-timers. More than 200 vehicles are expected. In 2025, 218 owners took part. The program includes vespers, blessing of travelers, veneration of the relics of Saint Giles, and a solemn Mass. Registration is open until Friday.
