Penamacor hosted the 63rd annual rally of the Camping Club of the Municipality of Almada (CCCA). According to one source, the event ran from September 3 to 5; another source says September 4 to 6. More than a hundred campers from all over Portugal took part, including club representatives from the north and south. It was the first time Penamacor hosted this annual gathering.
The event was held in the former Externato de Nossa Senhora do Incenso building. The program included cultural, sports, and entertainment activities, as well as visits to historical, cultural, and natural sites, including the Freixial campsite (referred to as Freixal in one source). The opening was attended by local officials, including Mayor Guida Leal and Assembly President Valéria Gonçalves.
