Japanese company Direct Cars unveiled the DC EVLIFE camper at the Tokyo Camper Show 2026, based on the Kia PV5 Passenger electric van. The vehicle sleeps two people and includes a sleeping module, LED lighting, USB-C ports, and a 100 V AC outlet. Unlike large motorhomes, the DC EVLIFE is designed for short trips: the driver can set up a bed and spend the night without a tent. The electric powertrain allows lighting and device charging without running a diesel engine. Direct Cars plans to expand its Kia PBV dealer network in Japan.
