Utah RV show to feature motorhomes, trailers, and campers

Elon Musk said on the All-In podcast that he is currently staying in an Airstream travel trailer in Memphis, where he is overseeing construction of the new xAI data center. Prices for such trailers in the US start at 54,000 euros, while larger, custom or limited-production models can exceed 210,000 euros. Musk has previously slept at Tesla factories and Twitter headquarters, and in 2021 he stayed in a Boxabl prefab home in Texas.

The Utah RV SuperShow is taking place September 17–20 at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy, Utah. Visitors can walk through various types of RVs — from travel trailers and fifth wheels to motorhomes and camper vans — and compare layouts. The show features new RVs, including current-year inventory with closeout pricing and new models for the 2027 model year.

Big Beard Battery, a Texas-based lithium power manufacturer for RVs, will hold its inaugural Tune Up & Turn Out Rally on Nov. 10–13 in Athens, Texas, followed by a Gold Sponsorship of the 2026 RVTAA/NRVIA Expo on Nov. 21–24. On Nov. 24, the company will host a half-day facility tour and training for about 100 RV technicians and inspectors.

The MARVAC RV & Camping Show will take place from September 30 to October 4 at the Vibes Credit Union Showplace. Attendees can tour hundreds of RVs, including folding campers, motorhomes, travel trailers, toy haulers, and fifth-wheel travel trailers, with dealers offering exclusive show pricing. WRIF is giving away four-packs of tickets; entries are accepted from 12:00pm September 18 to 11:59pm September 28, with winners selected on September 29. Participants must be 18 or older, and a maximum of five prizes will be awarded.

nuCamp introduced the 2027 Haven 190 travel trailer at the 2026 Hershey RV show. The new model is a smaller version of the Haven 220, measuring 19 feet (5.8 meters) in length and sleeping three. It features a single-axle BAL chassis, aluminum frame, and full composite shell. Standard equipment includes rooftop solar, a 100Ah lithium battery, a 1200Wh inverter, Alde heating, and a Truma Aventa air conditioner. An optional Boondock Package adds off-road tires, torsion suspension, and higher ground clearance. The trailer weighs under 3,500 lbs (1,587 kg) and has an MSRP of $59,000.

Starting October 2026, the Wyoming Department of Transportation will implement the WY22 SAFE PASS program, requiring a mountain safety self-certification for certain large vehicles on Teton Pass. Drivers of RVs, vehicles towing trailers, and vehicles with a GVWR over 10,000 pounds must complete the certification. The program includes an online review covering steep grades, brake fade, and load limits; the certificate is valid for one year. Once launched, operating these vehicles on the pass without a valid certificate will not be allowed. All existing regulations, including seasonal closures and the 60,000-pound weight limit, remain in effect.
