Cyngor Gwynedd’s planning committee has refused a bid to extend a seasonal touring caravan park in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) near Aberdaron.
Proposal
- Change use of agricultural field to accommodate 10 seasonal touring pitches from March to October
- Build a toilet and shower block and install a treatment plant
- Improve landscaping and create an access/egress
Reasons for refusal
- Potential harmful impact on the AONB landscape
- Incongruity with open countryside
- Lack of flood risk and drainage assessments
- Unsatisfactory access
