Medmerry Opco, the operator of Medmerry Holiday Park in West Sussex, which closed after flooding in April 2024, filed for administration on 9 September. Leaseholders who were offered compensation in September last year to terminate their leases early have been told that payments are not guaranteed. The joint administrators said it is too early to comment on the level of recoveries for creditors and will provide an update within eight weeks. One leaseholder, Catherine Jones, who was offered £5,000, believes the chances of receiving compensation are slim.
