A trend of 'stealth campers' disguised as old delivery trucks or moving vans is growing in the US, aimed at sleeping in cities without drawing attention, especially as restrictions on RVs tighten. One example is a converted 5.2 m U-Haul truck featuring a shower, underfloor heating, a 286 L refrigerator, hidden air conditioning, an extendable double bed, and a washer-dryer. Power comes from a camouflaged 1.6 kW solar system and a 13 kWh battery.
