Rare Citroën CX Tissier models considered precursors to modern camper vans

The French company Beauer has introduced the Beauer 3X caravan with a telescopic system. On the road, it has the dimensions of a small trailer, but at the campsite it expands to 12 square meters of living space for four people in one minute. The construction weighs 950 kg, and prices in Europe start below 30,000 euros.

French manufacturer Caravelair has unveiled the Alba 325 caravan for the 2026 model year. The model is the most compact in the Alba series, with a width of about 2.1 meters and an interior length of around 3.5 meters. It is aimed at couples seeking a lightweight and simple towing option, with a minimum unladen weight from 900 kg and a maximum authorized weight of about 1300 kg. Features include a kitchen with an induction hob, a compressor refrigerator, and a cassette toilet.

French motorhome manufacturer Rapido has updated the 896F model as part of its 8F series. The motorhome, approximately 7.5 meters long, offers a layout for four, a modern interior, and standard equipment expandable with optional packs. The price of the tested configuration with additional equipment remains below €100,000.

Publisher Silver Lining Interactive and developer Square Glade Games announced the release date for Outbound. The open-world exploration game, where players live in and customize a van, will launch on April 23 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PS5. The European alert system issued a notice regarding a serious manufacturing defect in Rapido, Dreamer, and Campereve camper vans. The fault involves potential damage to brake lines during the installation of a seatbelt anchor and affects several hundred units produced between May 2018 and July 2022. The manufacturer initiated a recall campaign in December 2022, but some vehicles may still be on the road without inspection.
