In Saint-Martin-de-Londres (Hérault), a municipal project to create a 27-space motorhome parking area on a former football field has sparked protests. A petition signed by over 550 residents (about 20% of the population) cites loss of community space, environmental concerns, and lack of public consultation. Mayor Gérard Brunel stated only half the field will be used, the rest remaining a sports zone, and promised permeable paving and partial grassing. The municipality estimates the facility could generate up to €180,000 annually for the local economy.
