Cornwall Council has put forward proposals to ban overnight parking of motorhomes and campervans at several locations, including popular beach car parks, from 23:00 to 8:00. Fully self-contained vehicles with their own toilet and waste disposal system would be exempt and allowed to stay overnight at ten car parks for a fee of £10 to £20.
The plans also include introducing charges where parking is currently free. The measures aim to improve road safety and reduce congestion. A public consultation is open until February 4.
