A petition submitted to the Scottish Parliament calls for a law to ban camping in vehicles outside designated zones along the North Coast 500. The proposal, which has nearly 1,000 signatures, would make the Scottish Outdoor Access Code legally enforceable, with potential criminal penalties for breaches. Highland Council has already introduced £10 nightly parking charges and £100 fines at some locations, limiting stays to one night with a 72-hour return restriction.
