The Ellsworth (Maine) City Council has passed a moratorium on large-scale campground developments, according to WABI. The 4-3 vote came down at a special meeting Sunday (Aug. 30) night. The decision follows rising tensions over a proposal to build an RV campground on Bayside Road. Developer Richard Newman defended the plan, claiming the RV park would not significantly impact the area’s current traffic congestion.
